Regional Sales Manager (MI, WI or IL)

Our confidential client, a renowned National CNC Distributor, is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive sales revenue within a defined territory. Join us in this dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with distribution partners and direct sales to exceed targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our Swiss CNC product solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Expertise: Be the go-to Swiss CNC sales and product expert within the assigned territory.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong, positive relationships with customers and the distribution network.
  • Sales Achievement: Meet or exceed fiscal year target units by product segment.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead regional action plans to enhance market share.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Ensure forecasting accuracy and report to the Business Unit Manager, maintaining a balanced Salesforce pipeline.
  • CRM Management: Maintain customer contact activities in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Market Insights: Produce and maintain market/industry-relevant information for the region.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Work closely with distribution partners on competitive accounts and focused industry segments.
  • Technical Collaboration: Communicate with technical colleagues for pre-sale needs, including in-depth product presentations, demonstrations, and automation opportunities.
  • Post-Sales Support: Drive post-sales communication with integrity and sensitivity to resolve difficult customer issues, supporting service and parts needs for end-user satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating time studies, deal sheets, and quotations in a timely manner.
  • Industry Involvement: Participate in regional industry associations and events to attract new opportunities.

Travel:

This role will have extensive travel within the assigned territory (including overnight stays). Additionally, travel to local offices, distribution partners, and headquarters (domestically and internationally) is mandatory. A valid driver’s license is essential, and candidates must be eligible for a passport with the ability to travel internationally.

Qualifications & Competencies:

We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications and competencies:

– 5-10 years of sales experience in manufacturing, with a preference for capital equipment (Swiss or CNC).

– Results-driven, discerning, and excellent communication skills.

– Technical proficiency and accountability.

– Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field strongly preferred, combined with training and work experience.

– Salesforce and working CAD knowledge required.
