Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and merchandise strategies that align with sales and promotional goals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including Open-to-Buy financial management, sales forecasting, and promotional planning.
- Negotiate vendor agreements to secure the best pricing, delivery schedules, and profit margins.
- Plan and manage assortment strategies across multiple store locations, ensuring variety and consistency.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to optimize product selections.
- React quickly to changing consumer demands, ensuring the footwear assortment remains competitive.
- Partner with marketing teams to create compelling promotions and campaigns for footwear collections.
- Attend trade shows, vendor meetings, and store visits to stay ahead of industry trends.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in retail buying and planning, preferably within the footwear category.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a keen eye for trend forecasting.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, inventory levels, and sales performance to drive profitable decisions
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with retail merchandising systems is a plus.
- Passion for retail, a strong understanding of customer behavior, and the ability to balance business goals with fashion trends.
Location & Work Arrangements
- On-site role at the corporate office.
- Travel required for trade shows, vendor meetings, and in-store visits.
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000
