Key Responsibilities:
As a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of turnkey projects, demonstrations, and various customer-related initiatives. Your responsibilities include:
- Project Management: Oversee turnkey projects, demonstrations, and customer-related projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Pre-Sale Activities: Conduct customer visits, evaluate opportunities, assess machines, provide part processing recommendations, and develop turnkey proposals.
- Customer Training: Develop and implement custom demonstrations, training customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
- Engineering Expertise: Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
- On-Site Support: Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a qualified individual with the following attributes:
- CNC Expertise: Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool-related engineering and manufacturing.
- Industry Knowledge: Possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
- Controls Proficiency: Familiarity with Fanuc-based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.
- Software Skills: Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to think quickly, assess situations, and make sound decisions.
