Tax Manager

We are helping our client find a Tax Manager role is responsible for managing staff, client assignments, and projects to ensure high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the Tax Manager assists in overseeing office operations, client service activities, quality, reporting, revenue budgeting, and collaborates with the Senior Manager/Principal to maximize performance and staff development. Enforcing firm and staff policies and procedures is also a key aspect of this role.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in tax management.
  • Proficient in U.S. accounting standards, accounting, financial reporting, FASB, and IRC regulations.
  • Strong technical skills, including tax return preparation and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a non-technical manner.
  • Stay updated on current tax practices and law changes.

Your role:

  • Provide effective leadership to associates, including staffing, training, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor and review work product of associates, providing coaching notes.
  • Participate in Firm non-billable activity, reflecting core values.
  • Anticipate budget issues, improve assignment profitability, and assist in billings and collections.

Client Service:

  • Serve as Tax client service coordinator.
  • Advise clients on corporate tax services, compliance, and business activities.
  • Manage client needs regarding tax services and compliance.

Business Development:

  • Promote the Firm to clients and business associates.
  • Understand lines of businesses and discuss opportunities with clients.
  • Identify and pitch additional service lines to clients.
  • Detect and communicate potential new client opportunities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Communicate complex issues in a non-technical manner.
  • Review research findings and ensure consistency with firm policies.
  • Assist in new business development and tax issue recognition.
  • Stay updated on current tax practices and law changes.

Budgeted Salary – $90,000 – $110,000
